As always, hats off (as well as my unadulterated complete and utter admiration and undying love<\/em>– but that’s a whole other post<\/em>) to Tommy P <\/a> for having a finger on the pulse of the emotion and nailing it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because who hasn’t felt like a loser a time or 2 million<\/strong><\/em>? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who happened to stumble luckily upon some good fortune?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But if you take a mindful moment to step back and reframe the situation, was it actually<\/em> luck? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you somehow grasped and moved in the belief that you were not now<\/em> and had never been<\/strong><\/em> a loser in the first place, you would not believe that luck<\/em> brought in your good fortune- we’ll call it your “gold”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You would now interpret yourself as deserving<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shifting your perception to allow the understanding that luck didn’t bring in your gold, YOU brought in your gold. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because you’re a winner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You always have<\/strong> been, you may just not have known it yet, and therefore weren’t focusing on it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So I’ll say it one more time for all of us- those who never knew it in the first place, and anybody who needs a reminder:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Losers become losers by focusing on their “losses” and interpreting<\/em> them AS<\/strong> losses rather than locating and benefitting from the gain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There’s ALWAYS a gain once you’ve trained yourself to look for it. Honing and utilizing the skill to do so reinforces and strengthens your belief in your capacity, allowing you to unlearn disempowering beliefs about “losing” while racking up subsequent triumphs as you expand your limited understanding of what winning<\/em> is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I.e: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • You didn’t lose<\/em> the race by not crossing the finish line first- you won<\/strong> because you showed up and ran\/walked the race.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • A relationship\/marriage is not a loss<\/em> because it ended. A relationship doesn’t have to last forever to leave a lasting impact that affects your life in the way it was intended to.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • The job\/promotion\/part that you lost<\/em> to someone else- you’re winning by showing up<\/strong> in the arena, doing the work consistently<\/em>, honing\/learning\/progressing, understanding your gold is right around the corner.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • You’re not a loser because you had a traumatic childhood, didn’t get any breaks, etc… and have been dealt a sh*t hand in this poker game of life. You’re a winner by not becoming a victim<\/strong> to those factors, understanding that you had it tough and survived<\/strong>! You gained the strength required to take responsibility for RE-parenting (REPAIR-ent \ud83d\ude42 ) the child in you, addressing any neglected areas keeping you a prisoner to your past. You may need to play the hand you were dealt, but that doesn’t mean you can’t pull from every resource available to see to it that you become the most skilled and knowledgeable player you can be while doing so. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • You don’t lose when you’ve already decided you’ve won.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Even the losers get lucky sometimes, but you don’t need luck to win. You just need to know who you actually<\/strong> are. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    YOU ARE A WINNER.<\/strong> Own it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
