Seeking

We each must seek our own answers.

When something resonates, we must dig deeper and investigate it further for ourselves rather than just taking someone else’s word for it.

Respecting ourselves involves taking responsibility and being accountable for what we expose ourselves to and “allow IN” in every area of our lives.

My often easily influenced outlook requires me to approach outside influences the same way I approach a food buffet: a little from here, a little from there, a lot from here, maybe none from there… BEFORE digging in with wholehearted thoughtlessness, as is often my default mode. I’ve found it advantageous to try a tiny bite at a time- making it easier to swallow what’s optimal or spit out what’s not.

Though I advocate and encourage myself and others to explore a willingness to become uncomfortable in every area of life, that never means going along with something we don’t have peace with.

Regardless of whether we can or can’t explain the reasons why. Not going along with something solely because YOU DON’T HAVE PEACE WITH IT is never something that requires an explanation to others.

That’s right- I said never. It’s much easier for me to write that than to live it, but as always: #workingonit

We live in a world where valuable leadership is often overshadowed by influencers and followers, making it appear as if they are separate actions, when actually, leading also involves following and influencing.

It’s become my belief that we are EACH meant to lead by encouraging ourselves and others to trust and be moved by the individual voice within each of us that’s attempting to communicate information obtained through a larger lens than the limiting one we physically possess.

There will be times when we’re called to follow others on a well-worn path and also moments of an innate certainty of the need to openly share that which we’ve been gifted with.

The ability to embrace and encompass any role required of us is all part of leading one another. Guidance comes through that still, small voice within that nobody else can hear.

Because they’re not meant to hear it. You are.

When you choose to listen.
