Connecting the dots

There are no stand-alone messages, just as there are no stand-alone life lessons.

Every lesson is the dot and each message retained from the lesson is the master stroke connecting you to the next.

Often these lessons and messages will not make sense to us while we’re in the midst of them, so they may appear as random incidents happening to us at random times for random reasons.

Making a person feel as though they’re going it alone.

But we’re not.

Nothing is random.

Or everything is random- depending on your personal perception. Since I’m in the nothing is random camp, that’s the lens I’m viewing through…

This message has been driven home to me thoroughly while in the midst of what I refer to as the gathering phase of my journey. It was laid on my heart to gather and review everything I’ve created (past blog posts, essays, letters, notes, journals, etc… and oh yeah, all those tiny slips of paper I’ve stashed away all over the place when I heard something that resonated so hard that I just had to get it down on paper that instant) in preparation of my next step.

The next dot.

Reading the words of one’s past self is something of a time travel journey. It’s a gift in the sense that we know something now that we didn’t yet know when we authored what was spilled on the page.

We know what happened next.

And regardless of what it was, we got through it- as evidenced by our past self and noted by our current self.

It may not have been swift, successful, pretty, the way we’d hoped or imagined it, but we got through it.

You know what happens when you’ve been given proof that you can get through something? It fuels you for the next thing.

Then the next. And so on.

Until you eventually understand that though there may be things you’d choose not to go through if given a choice, you have the capacity to do so regardless.

Every time.

Because you’re not doing it alone. YOU are with you. The YOU that’s been with you in the past, is here in your present, and will be there for you in the future.

Plug into the power source that is the essential you!

For those who have been made fearful by conditioned teachings that believing yourself to be a power source is a no-no, I ask you to think about this in a mindfully neutral manner: any good team leader relies on their team being continually made aware of and operating in their most brilliant capacity. What kind of “creator” would not want their creation to KNOW ITS BRILLIANCE?

I rest my case and circle back…

While it’s handy to view your personal evolution with the added benefit of written words from your former self, you don’t have to be a writer, blogger, or journal-er to benefit from this connect the dots philosophy. You just need to pay attention to what you’re being shown and whenever possible recall other instances in your past and present that parallel those currently in play, utilize the past skills gleaned from those instances, and receive the message intended for your growth.

Connect the dots and be led to the next.

The dots will take shape in their intended time.

  1. A powerful message. As I’ve always said, you have to go there to come back.
