I’m not a fan of organizations or structures that are based around rigid rules and rituals that often cause others to feel excluded or harshly judged.
Organized religion often comes off that way to me.
Which is not to say that I don’t believe in “God”, because I do believe in a power source that I’ve often referred to as God, simply out of habit and conditioning.
But I have questions. (You’ll note that I always have questions.)
Mainly I wonder why this force would be referred to as a “him” since gender is of the physical world. Why must I confine my belief to a gender when it’s my interpretation that an energy force is neither a he or she but instead an ALL?
Perhaps you believe differently.
Perhaps you have a different God, or religion, or Higher Power. Perhaps you are indifferent to the matter entirely.
I am not here to dispute that, in fact, quite the opposite.
It doesn’t matter what you call your power supplier, but it is my belief that if you are working to become fit beyond your form, the acknowledgement that there is a power higher than you at work in your life will fuel your endeavors.
Why?
Because understanding that you are more than a physical body requires that you first understand that you were created for a purpose and it’s no accident that you are here.
You are a magnificent being who has special gifts to offer the world, but it’s virtually impossible to come to that realization without accepting that you are not in control of everything, an endeavor made easier by understanding there’s a greater source you’re relinquishing this control to.
Moving forward also requires letting go of the need for validation from other people. Absorbing strength from your higher power will grant you that fortitude.
Having faith in that which you cannot see or make “sense of” with your rational mind affords you the consideration that just because you can’t always see the way, doesn’t mean there isn’t a way.
What appears impossible for you to achieve on your own becomes possible through your power source.
I believe in an energetic force above, beyond, and yet somehow also within this realm guiding us.
By ANY name you want to call it.
I’m hesitant to exclusively call it God because the name itself often evokes a multitude of preconceived thoughts, opinions, fears, beliefs, etc… that minds and hearts may then become closed to exploring what I believe to be an energetic gift meant to be accepted by us freely- unconditionally.
And that, I think, may be the issue.
Unconditional love is a nearly impossible concept for many of us to grasp, because we typically don’t experience it here. At least from people.
I’ve been fortunate enough to have had some mystical instances in my life where I experienced what can only be described as glimpses of the divine within which an unconditional love was communicated to me- not verbally or physically but energetically. It was if I’d been bathed in a light of knowing that everything, including myself, was ALREADY OKAY. I was immersed in a completely peaceful state of being that I had never before experienced.
*Much like having a taste of something wonderful- JUST THE ONE TASTE, for an undetermined amount of time, that state of being is one I’ve grieved and longed for ever since. I hold tight to the memory because it allowed me the knowing that ALL IS WELL.
Even when we can’t comprehend that it is.
Unconditional love exists. It’s just not of this world. And neither is this force. And neither are we!
I interpret us as visitors here, gifted with a physical body in which to take this learning journey.
Grasping the hows and whys of “how it all works” is not our concern.
It’s the understanding that we are a part of something greater than what we could possibly conceive of on our own and that force beats within each of us when we choose to plug into the belief in possibilities beyond our logical comprehension.
TRUE beliefs will not be formed due to the urgings of another, but by tuning into the voice within, attempting to guide you to YOUR truths.
IN YOUR OWN TIME.
As you strengthen the soul muscle required to quiet yourself from the cacophony of the external world, listening to it becomes much easier.

I welcome your input!
